Requirements:

  • Higher technical education with a focus on HSE.
  • Appropriate HSE qualifications and certifications.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar or relevant position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

 

Job Description:

  • Understand and comply with BOS Shelf QHSE System & Policies.
  • Strictly follow instructions from his / her line Supervisor and BOS Shelf Management.
  • Understand and compliance with BOS Shelf’s HSE Management System, Policy Statements and Confidentiality policies and how they relate to BOS Shelf position.
  • Assist as a member of the Site Emergency Team.
  • Understanding the risks/hazards and mitigation measures of activities and ensuring mitigation measures are in place and maintained.
  • Conduct continual worksite inspections and patrols of BOS Shelf facilities, including subcontractor activities, and report any deficiencies to the appropriate supervision.
  • Ensuring any corrective actions are closed out and maintained.
  • Assist BOS Shelf Supervision in investigating any incidents (accidents or near misses) that occur.
  • Meet given Safety targets, conducting, documenting and ensuring effective close out of Safety Audits, General Inspection Reports & Stop Cards.
  • Support the construction team in overseeing that the Permit to Work system is being used properly by both BOS Shelf and sub-contractor personnel.
  • Conduct induction and safety training courses if/when required.
  • Conduct and/ or assist with safety meetings for BOS Shelf and sub-contractor personnel.
  • Maintain and update a library of General Inspection Reports, Safety Audits and “lessons learnt” relevant to BOS Shelf Construction activities and ensuring lessons learnt are incorporated into work activities.
  • Management of technical and project documentation and data reporting on site;
  • Carry out routine checks of emergency equipment.
  • Ensuring adequate Safety Signs are maintained and displayed.
  • Strictly follow instructions from his / her line Supervisor.
  • All equipment and tooling to be strictly operated in accordance with Company Policy / Manufacturer’s Instructions.
