Basic Purpose of Job:
Participate in the Bos-Shelf delivery of a quality service and product that achieves the requirements of the client and complies with the relevant international/national codes and standards. Work closely with Bos-Shelf and our partners personnel to ensure that the Bos-Shelf management system is adhered to, and those services and products supplied to Bos-Shelf are done so in compliance with client, industry and Bos-Shelf requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Welding Inspection such as CSWIP 3:1 / AWS CWI (or local equivalent)
- Experience in fabrication/welding techniques and processes, ability to read fabrication drawings.
- 3 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the Oil/Gas /Petrochemical industry).
- Good team and strong work ethic.
- Able to act as, and be seen as, calm, controlled, analytical and organized.
- Integrity and trust, compassion and respect.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Job Description:
- Ensure Bos-Shelf QHSE requirements are adhered to by all personnel, intervene when required.
- Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
- Perform material inspection.
- Perform consumable inspection.
- Application of inspection gauges, instruments and tools.
- Check equipment and accessories.
- Witness procedure qualification test.
- Witness welder qualification test.
- Perform visual inspection.
- Review / witness NDT.
- Witness mechanical test.
- Monitor heat treatment.
- Observe / Monitor / Witness production and fabrication welding in accordance with the approved ITP and specifications.
- Interpret and assure compliance to Code / Standard / Specification.
- Review technical drawing.
- Witness weld repair.
- Participate in final inspection requirements for inspection release certification.
- Prepare and compile inspection records.
